Pop Up Penises
4 in 10 young women, and 26% of men, have received an unsolicited dick pic. Even though IRL flashing is illegal, cyberflashing still isn’t banned. So with Brook, we launched a campaign that pointed out the hypocrisy of the law and called for change.
Next, we contacted Fay Jones MP and got a debate in parliament, where she praised our campaign. Two weeks later it was announced the law is being changed to criminalise cyberflashing. Quite an impact!
And in March 2024, a 39 year old man who sent unsolicited photos of his erect penis to a 15 year old girl became the first person in England and Wales to be convicted and jailed for cyber-flashing.
